Engine 1411
Engine 1411 is our main response vehicle. The cab houses one driver, one officer, and up to six firefighters. Inside of the cab there are many tools for our responders including hi- and low-band portable radios, a variety of flashlights, a thermal imaging camera, five Self Contained Breathing Apparatus units (SCBA's or "air-packs"), air masks, gas measuring tools, and an incident command board.
The truck is home to a 1500 Gallon-per-minute pump with a variety of intakes and discharges. Engine 1411 has a 750 gallon water tank and a small foam tank for vehicle fires or HAZMAT situations. Along with the pump, the engine has four pre-connected hose lines and a rubber booster reel in the back of the engine. This makes 1411 a very versatile and rugged response unit.
Beyond the pump panel there are seven-plus cabinets housing the tools we need to get our job done. Some of these tools are chainsaws, forced entry tools (Haligan & Axe), a Saw-zall, Glassmaster, bottle-jacks and rams, cribbing for vehicle stabilization, extra SCBA tanks, fire extinguishers, lighting equipment, and of course, extra hose and hard suction. The hose bay can lay 1000 foot of 5" discharge if needed.

Squad 1491
Squad 1491 is our QRS vehicle. The squad responds to all dispatched medical calls, used to transport additional manpower, and is used during special events. It is stocked full of medical equipment, ice/rope/water rescue equipment, and a new Hurst cutting/spreading tool for use in vehicle rescue situations.
The squad is built on a Chevrolet chassis that can fit up to five responders if needed. Many times the unit will be used to transport additional responders to the scene if the initial truck has left and an additional fire unit is not needed. It should also be noted that Squad 1491 is the newest vehicle in our response group.
During the winter months, Squad 1491 will haul the area's ice rescue sled. When there is a confirmed or potential ice rescue in the Kempton, New Tripoli, or Germansville area Lynnport's squad unit is tasked with transporting the sled along with providing all necessary ice rescue equipment and responders.
